July 2010

On Wednesday, 14 July 2010 at 7 PM, one of our all-time favorites, Ayelet Waldman, returns to Rakestraw to share her brilliant, intense, new novel, Red Hook Road.

Larry Doyle visits on Thursday, 15 July 2010 at 7 PM to present his new novel, Go, Mutants!.

Wendy Hagen visits on Saturday, 17 July 2010 at 10 AM to share her new book, Totally Desperate Mom.

Pulitzer Prize-winning novelist Paul Harding returns to Rakestraw Books as we celebrate the success of Tinkers on Tuesday, 20 July 2010 at 7 PM.

Running legends Bart Yasso and Dean Karnazes visit us for an evening of great storytelling on Thursday, 22 July 2010 at 7 PM.

We're going to the Farmers' Market and you're invited! Jennie Schacht will be sharing her new book, Farmers' Market Desserts on Saturday, 24 July 2010 at 9:30 AM.

August 2010

Beloved bestselling novelist Carl Hiassen visits on Friday, 13 August 2010 at 7:00 PM to share his new novel Star Island. Details to be determined.

Pulitzer Prize-winning poet Robert Hass returns to Rakestraw Book to read and sign his new book, The Apple Trees at Olema on Friday, 20 August 2010 at 7 PM.

Mary Roach will be here on Wednesday, 25 August 2010 at 7 PM to talk about her new book, Packing for Mars: The Curious Science of Life in the Void.

Winery owner and cookbook author, Christine Hanna will join us for dinner on Friday, 27 August 2010 at 7 PM to talk about her new book, . Details to be determined.

Fall 2010

On Wednesday, 15 September 2010 at 7 PM, we're thrilled to welcome Julia Glass back as we celebrate the publication of her new novel, The Widower's Tale.

Sara Gruen joins us on Friday, 1 October 2010 at 7 PM to present Ape House, her first novel since her beloved bestseller, Water for Elephants.

On Friday, 8 October 2010 at 7 PM, we're excited to welcome Danville's own Terry McMillan back to Rakestraw as we celebrate the publication of Getting to Happy, a follow-up to her now-classic, Waiting to Exhale.
