Tanya Holland is the acclaimed chef who brought modern soul food to Oakland with her restaurant, Brown Sugar Kitchen. She's written three cookbooks, competed on "Top Chef," and currently hosts an Oprah Network cooking show and her own podcast.
During her visit to Rakestraw Books, she will be signing her new cookbook, Tanya Holland's California Soul. This wonderful new book features 80 seasonal recipes that celebrate her Southern roots through a California lens.
